Songs Of The Past

The songs that haven't been played in a long time play straight to my soul and quicken my hearts pace. Playing memories of times that you were with me. Forcing me to realize I shouldn't have given up so easily, and only hoping that things would be like the were back then. Maybe I shouldn't linger on times past, and look forward ahead but forgetting you isn't easy. I know you are still there. I wonder if you think of me, but I will never really know. I wish I could open my mouth and say hello. Instead I hide and continue with what sounds like a good idea but I am just hurting others in the end.
